The Essendon Football Club have embarked on their most significant project for decades. The aim is to relocate the training and administrative facilities from Windy Hill to Melbourne Airport.
Federal and State Government funding alongside AFL support will contribute much of the $30 Million needed to create the new facility.
However the funding from them will only go part of the way to creating a state-of-the-art home complete with two ovals, one the size of the MCG. The rest of the money will come from club coffers or donations from supporters.
To give fans information about the move, reveal plans for the site and solicit donations the club asked us to build theflightplan.com.au. The website design was entirely under my direction.
The site was optimized for mobile handset and tablet viewing as well as traditional desktop browsers. Videos across the site have been embedded using HTML5, ensuring iPhone and iPad users are provided the same experience as those on desktop and laptop machines.
