In 2009 I worked closely with Melbourne Victory to develop an online game called “Heading For Victory”. It was a Flash based game that allowed users to control Archie Thompson and try to lead Melbourne Victory to success in the A-League via a series of header attempts against various opponents.
The game received attention from the soccer media and huge response from Melbourne Victory fans.
As well as the time spent authoring in Flash, there was a large amount of time spent turning Archie Thompson and Ernie Merrick into cartoon versions of themselves for the game! Maybe it’s time to talk to Victory about a version with Harry Kewell?!
The game is no longer online, so I’ve presented a couple of screen shots to show what it looked like…
