For approximately six years I attended post-match press conferences in the AFL as part of my game-day role of looking after social media and website video for the Essendon Football Club.

After sitting through hundreds of press conferences from virtually every coach in the AFL from the last half decade a few things started to feel awfully similar; the answers to the questions.

With a couple of first time coaches in the AFL ranks this year I thought maybe they could use a quick cheat-sheet on how to handle those tricky post game grillings from the press.
